Headmaster's Welcome

Welcome to our website. I trust you find the information here of benefit to you. St Peter’s is and has always been an excellent preparatory school, purposefully Primary and unashamedly Christian. Our traditions are long standing and are built on excellence. In 2017, we celebrate 35 years of providing quality Christian Education in the Macarthur area. St Peter's and the Macarthur region are synonymous. When speaking with people about the Macarthur region, the quality of St Peter's is invariably mentioned.

Being a Primary only school certainly has its benefits. The focus is on preparatory years and equipping students as learners for the challenges ahead. Our focus on the individual child is so important and our Christianity isn’t something we take lightly. It is embedded effectively in all we do.

Our facilities are excellent and we are constantly looking to improve. Our philosophy of learning has seen us apply to implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme  (The PYP). We have begun the implementation of this learning framework for how we deliver the Australian Curriculum in 2017. This year (2018), we hope to finalise implementation, prior to applying for full authorisation to be an IB World School.  The PYP aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world, through intercultural understanding and respect. This approach, alongside our firm commitment of foundational skills in literacy and numeracy will only heighten the educational experience that we can offer our students.

Small classes throughout the school, enormous co-curricular opportunities and a place where students are known and cared for. That’s the St Peter’s experience. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of selecting the right school for your children. Come and take a tour, meet our dedicated and committed staff and consider joining the Macarthur region’s leading Christian independent Primary school.
