Premier's Reading Challenge

All Students have brought home a letter this past week informing parents that the 2016 Premier’s Reading Challenge is about to begin. The Challenge aims to encourage in students a love of reading for leisure and pleasure, and to enable them to experience quality literature. Reading a book together (Kindergarten to Year 2) is a wonderful time you can share with your child each day. For our older readers (Years 3 to 6), reading books independently can take them on many exciting and informative journeys. Every child who completes the challenge and has their online log validated by the closing date, will receive a PRC Certificate and have their name placed on the online PRC Honour Roll.
At St Peter’s, we also have a School Challenge as we know that many children will read more than the required number of challenge books. Please keep reading and recording right up to our closing date (Friday, 19 August 2016) as there will be an award for the child in each grade who has read the most books from the PRC list.
