Book Week Parade

Book Week Parade

As a celebration of reading, we will be holding a Book Week parade on Thursday, 25 August at 9.15 am on the soccer field (green area) of the Prep playground. This year’s Theme: Australia: Story Country.
Students (Prep – Year 6) are encouraged to dress up as a biblical or book character. We ask that you put your creative hats on and see what you can come up with from the resources you have at home. If your child has the book at home associated with their character, then they might like to bring it along for the parade.
Year 6 will be holding a Café after the parade to raise funds for the Year 6 farewell, so feel free to stay and have a chat and cuppa. There will be some yummy slices and cakes to eat as well as tea or coffee.
Parents, grandparents and carers are most welcome to watch the parade. Limited seating will be provided on the School Hall Verandah and the undercover walk-way. You are most welcome to stand outside the marked area for teachers and students on the other 2 sides of the soccer field, i.e. equipment sides.
