Pastoral Care. School Spirit.

Our House system encompasses and develops pastoral care, school spirit and encourages interaction between children of different ages.

A number of exciting competitive activities are run throughout the year for our six Houses involving both classroom activities and outdoor sports competitions.

Student leaders in each House are responsible for various activities, including coordination of their House teams and encouraging participation in sporting events. Raising awareness and fundraising for local and international charities is of utmost importance at St. Peter’s and House charity drives and fundraising has helped Intumbane School in South Africa and Anglicare’s Toys and Tucker (hampers for those in need in our local community) over many years.

Our Swimming, Athletics Carnivals and Cross Country are occasions where the team spirit of the individual Houses comes to the fore. There are also many exciting House activities throughout the year such as House competitions at major carnivals, House Colour days and competitions organised through Chess Club.

All students are members of a House Buddy group which meets fortnightly to develop friendships and teach social and emotional skills.

Each House group in our school is associated with one of the parish counties which was established after the foundation of the Australian colonies.
